Cooking process
Samosas are Indian pies, they can be sweet or savory. Both are deep-fried. They are prepared with different fillings, today I have vegetable. The pies are very piquant due to the addition of spices. Very tasty, I recommend trying them. Well, and don't forget to prepare Masala tea for samosas , it will be even tastier.
To prepare Indian Samosa pies, prepare the ingredients according to the list.
Boil the peeled potatoes in salted water until done. Drain the water.
Finely chop the onion.
Add onions, peas (strained from liquid), oil, salt and spices to the potatoes.
Mash the potatoes. Leave the filling to cool.
Prepare the dough: break an egg into flour (2 cups), pour in oil, and mix.
Pour in water, add salt, and mix the mixture again.
Add the remaining half cup of flour and knead into an elastic dough.
Cover the dough with a napkin or bowl and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
Roll part of the dough into a sausage, cut into discs. Roll the discs in flour.
Roll out the dough into a circle, put 1 tbsp of filling on each. Pinch the dough into a triangle.
Heat oil in a frying pan. Place the pies seam side down.
Fry on each side over low heat until golden brown.
