Variations

The base of guacamole is avocado, salt, red pepper. All other ingredients are variable. If you don't like cilantro, don't add it. If you like a juicier and brighter taste, use regular onions, but if you want a less pronounced taste, replace it with leeks. You can skip tomatoes in favor of red bell peppers.

The easiest option is to mix avocado pulp, coarse salt, red pepper and olive oil.

Serve guacamole with nacho chips or toasted pieces of bread. The sauce also goes well with chili con carne, fajitas and other Mexican dishes.

Benefits of guacamole

Guacamole is based on avocado, and this fruit has a lot of useful substances. In addition to the fact that it contains potassium, iron, magnesium and copper (other vegetables and fruits also have plenty of minerals), avocado also contains the antioxidant glutathione, which helps prevent the development of sclerosis, and also, scientists suggest, is a cancer prevention.
